Week 4 Development

Week 4 marked a great amount of development for our team. On Monday, we continued our work on the website; Jackie fleshed out many of the login features, and Hilary worked on building a search mechanism for the map, as Lina worked on designing the resources page. While they worked on this, I designed a more intuitive way to view the cards, exploring how to make the map pan automatically and designing cards of information that expand on click. Additionally, I built the mechanism to add and view reviews for each individual location, with ratings.

On Tuesday, we received design criticism from two design students at Boston University; they explored our website and gave us advice on how to design our pages more cohesively, through an 'owned shape' and bolder color choices with less variation. On Wednesday, we took a break from work and got a chance to tour the offices of IBM, across the street from Cooper Union.
